[KIMTC 2012 on-site] Grand Plastic Surgery Center to show customized medical services for foreign patients

Grand Plastic Surgery: Square Jaw Reduction

A square jaw is caused by lateral protruding and can create a strong and masculine appearance. Many women are interested in having a small, oval face, which is possible with Grand's Square Jaw Reduction surgery. Grand Plastic Surgery: Reconstructive Breast Surgery

Breast reconstruction is the surgical procedure to reshape the contour of breast. This procedure is for who has done a mastectomy or lumpectomy which removed entire breast or margin of surrounding tissue. A patient able to have a breast reconstruction as long as chemotherapy has done for breast cancer. 

Breast reconstruction can help breast cancer survivors regain their identity and confidence. There are two options for breast reconstruction: Flap Reconstruction which uses tissue from other parts of the patient’s body, such as the back, buttocks, thigh or abdomen, and Tissue Expander, which uses breast implants. The latter is more widely used due to the development of breast implants.
Flap Reconstruction
Flap Reconstruction has the advantage of removing excess fat on other parts of the body which are then used for breast reconstruction. It also shapes breasts naturally and is most preferred by patients who have larger excisions on their chest. However, this procedure has a longer recovery period and leaves scarring while harvesting tissues from the body.
In addition, it is difficult for patients to straighten their back for approximately a month after surgery if their abdomen tissues were harvested.

Tissue Expander through Implantation 
This procedure is preferred by working patients because the recovery period is only 3 days and there is virtually no scarring.
The disadvantage of this procedure is that the operation is performed twice; the first one inserts the tissue expander tool and the second one inserts the implants. In addition, the upper portion of the breasts may not appear natural; however, a tear drop shape breast implant can be used to correct this issue.

Breast Reconstruction Post Surgery - Nipple Reconstruction
The nipple and areola can be reconstructed 6 months after surgery.
The tissues can be harvested from the labia for the nipple, and tattooing can be used to construct the areola.

When should I do it?

Surgery is ideal when there is a low risk of recurrence of breast cancer, which usually means at least 6 months without inflammation or cancer. For patients who are undergoing treatment for radiotherapy, reconstruction cannot be performed until the treatment is completely finished and the patients are fully recovered. The reconstruction can be performed at the same time as the breast cancer operation.

Grand Plastic Surgery: Non-Incision Calf Reduction

Calves don't have a lot of fat tissue and the skin is thin, so the whole look of your calves heavily depends on your calf muscle. Jiyeong's Story Before The Surgery

I decide to get a plastic surgery and it was biggest decision in my life. Having a plastic surgery is almost huge challenge to me because I was so scared of surgery. Finally, I decide to have V-line jaw reduction, malar reduction, rhinoplasty and double eyelid surgery.

My impression was a lifeless complexion before I had a plastic surgery. I had to practice to make smile on my face but it always looked expressionless and lifeless complexion. I think I look expressionless because of my cheekbone and protruded lip. I had the impression that I look angry even I do not engry and I look depress even I do not depress.

I research a lot of information on the online forum and blog before I decide to have a plastic surgery. I was very scared to have a surgery. I even memorize all the information of plastic surgery procedures. I finally found some pictures of before and after surgery from Grand Plastic Surgery and then I thought I can do it, too! 




Jiyeong's Story After The Surgery

I am very weak so I was especially reel after the plastic surgery. The V-line jaw reduction and malar reduction are the surgery that made incision inside of mouth so it made me hard to breath and eat.

I was feeling relieved that my cheekbone is gone when I was hospitalized. I was very excited when the doctor told me that my surgery went well. I was little nervous about to have a general anesthesia before I go to operation room but there were nothing to worry about because Grand Plastic Surgery has residing anesthesiologist

It is still awkward to see myself at the mirror after the plastic surgery. I especially satisfy with my naturally looked eyes and nose. Even my friend did not recognize me and they keep ask who am I?

I have always heard that I look poor because of my cheekbone and protruded lip. No one told me that I have ugly face but I have inferiority about my look. I was very nervous but excited when I set up my mind to get a plastic surgery.



It is been 4 weeks since I had a plastic surgery. I am so happy that my biggest inferiority is gone, which is my cheekbone and protruded lip. I still feel awkward about my face every time I look at the mirror. I think having the plastic surgery was my biggest challenge of my life. My friend did not recognize me when we have seen a long time after the plastic surgery. It was very interested they did not notice my change because I think I change a lot. So I ask them 'do you see me any difference?' and then they said, 'your nose got sharper.' Everyone told me that I look natural and change brighter.

Haesun's Story Before The Surgery

I think I have bad impression because of my tired looking eyes and flat cheek. Especially my eyes look very sneaky because I do not have double eyelid. Also, I do not have volume on my cheek and it makes my face look longer.

So I was very dissatisfied about my face before the plastic surgery. I think I should make a change to improve my appearance so I decide to have a plastic surgery. 


Haesun's Story After The Surgery

My plastic surgery had done very successful and of course I am much satisfied after the surgery. There is no single word to say, I can tell seeing by my before and after pictures. I have nothing said just amazing.
I got gorgeous eyes from tired looking eyes after surgery. Also I could get feminine look which I did not have before. Some of my friends already made the appointment for surgery at Grand. They keep asking me where I had the plastic surgery so I told my friend, it is Grand Plastic Surgery.

I could give some advises about a plastic surgery. It is very important to understand to have a surgery that could balance with original shape of face. If you have just bigger eyelid and sharper nose will not make you prettier. I think medical technique is well developed this day so there is not much pain. Haesun's Diary

I want to be a dancer when I was child and I did not really have a time to take care of my appearance. I start taking care of my appearance when my appearance looks aging (sad). I decide to get a plastic surgery because one of my friends told me if I have double eyelid then I look better. So I encourage myself to go Grand Plastic Surgery.  



It is been 10 days since I had the plastic surgery. I start feeling itchy and bruised area is fading time goes by. I feel very awkward when doctor has taken off the splint on my nose. I still feel that my face is not mine even today.


I put the make-up on my face for the first time ever. All of my friends told me that I should do every day. I was embarrassed when I put the eyeshades on double eyelid which I did not have before. I could finish my make-up with clumsy skills somehow anyway. It was very interested to see different face now. I did not like to take a photo of myself before but I love to do it now.   


I am dying to come down swollenness on my face at first but it is been 8 months since I had the plastic surgery. I think my face is coming back to normal now and look natural. I wish I could maintain the beauty of my face that I have now.

Minjung's Story Before The Surgery

I have very small breasts that are not even fit into A cup bra. I always admire to wear v-neck line clothes and vikini without gel petals.

I feel so jealous about celebrities when they dress up with gorgeous dress that showing off their body line at the award. I feel so small about myself even more when I saw them. Of course I cannot wear clothes such as deep v-neck and I am not look sophisticated even if I wear blouse or knit wear. I really want to wear those sexy and glamour dress, too!

Also, my breasts are droopy because I reputably gain and lose weight. So I lose elasticity of my breast and droopy.



Minjung's Story After The Surgery

I can go to the water park now without putting gel petals in my bra or bikini. I just have to enjoy not concerning about my small breast. I definitely feel that I get the attention at the water park. Also, I could not see anyone who has a breast like me!!

I have heard that I seem misery when I wear T-shirt. However, now I look sexy and glamorous even I only wear simple T-shirt. My breasts looks very natural even those feels are smooth and soft like real breasts. There are no feelings of irritation.

I cannot go outside without gel petals all the time. I concern about the underwear first before I go to shop. This really makes me stressful to buy underwear rather than actual clothes.


It is been 5 days after my breast augmentation surgery. I think time goes very fast. I feel little bit drowsy by the prescript medicine from the clinic but all the pains are gone by the time. I went to the class bravely today even after on 5th day from the surgery.


It is been a month since I had breast augmentation!! I can say good-bye to corrective bra the one I had to wear 3 weeks now. I wear sports bra to support my breast. I have removed all the drainage and stitches now so I feel more comfortable on movement. I still need to go to get breast massage treatment but it is not hurting anymore. Most of noticeable swollen has calm down so far and the size of breast adjusts both size.

Miyeon's Story Before The Surgery

I have the goal to have a two-jaw surgery aggressively because of my asymmetrical face. My chin leans to one side and it causes asymmetrical appearance. I also have a problem with chewing and pronouncing because of my tooth. My impression appears something uncomfortable even I am not. I even pestered one day to get two-jaw surgery and my mother took me to plastic surgery clinic but I was too young to do. I was crying hard on a way back home but finally I could get the two-jaw surgery done!!

I finally had done my two-jaw surgery :) a lot of celebrity is done two-jaw surgery this day.

No one could notice that I had two-jaw surgery before I told people. Is this meant my two-jaw surgery has done perfectly natural, right? Now I have ideal ratio of face and no more asymmetrical face!! I really love the line of my face when I smile after the two-jaw surgery.

It is very depressing, not my emotion but my face when people ask me that I am angry even I am not angry. And later, I am really angry because people said I look angry. My prominent chin is always makes me feel inferiority and wants to get a surgery but the oral surgeons says I am too young to do. However, I could get two-jaw surgery when I grow up and I would be so excited to get done!!


I feel a month like a year to me after I had the surgery. All the feelings and memories of agony to take out blood drainage, avoid delicious food, sleeping at the same posture and etc. It is been like a very long time ago even it is been only a month. I am very happy to see my change every day and can't wait to go clinic for check-up. I was very glad to hear when doctor told me that I can eat and sleep normally now. I want to try different hair style this and that because I am beautiful now!!


My bones and tooth gradually recover day by day. Now I really feel that I have done the two-jaw surgery because my upper and lower tooth is corrected. It is been almost 9 month from I got the two-jaw surgery for now. I still need to keep a brace with elastic for upper and lower tooth but the doctor told me that I can take those off next month. I am so exciting to see my face and I even practice to smile :)
